My first YouTube Video!?

When I first started blogging, I became very interested in YouTube. I made my blogging account way before I started posting properly and I made the blogging account instead of a YouTube account. I was too afraid for a very long time to post on here let alone post on YouTube. However, with a mixture of positive support from friends and a bit more confidence, I have posted my very first YouTube video, with many more on the way.

If anyone is interested in watching then here is the link. First YouTube Video

OOTD & MOTD- Burnt Copper

In only a few of weeks I will be off on holiday for two weeks to Mexico, Cancun. It always feels nice to have some newer clothes to take with you on holiday so i have been picking up bits and pieces the last few weeks for the summer and also with my holiday in mind.
I ordered a pair of shorts from Newlook online and I tried them and loved them so I paired them with some tights for the slightly cooler weather we have been having at the moment and wore them out. They are a almost burnt copper colour and are very comfortable.

As well as wearing new clothes I thought I would also experiment with a new makeup look and used a colour from my Mac Pro Palette that I have not used much. It also matches the colour of the shorts.

Eyes- Mac- Coppering- All over lid, blended out and taken underneath. Mac- Charcoal Brown- Outer corner, crease and taken underneath. Mac- Brun- to darken up the areas where Charcoal Brown was used. Urban Decay- Naked 1 Palette- Virgin.

Blush- Nars- Orgasm.  Bronzer/contour- Benefit- Hoola.

Lips- Rimmel- 1000 Kisses lip pencil- 011 Spice. Rimmel- Apocalips lip velvet- 206 Atomic Rose

I like the the colour but I would love to know your opinion!

Nail Art

I am not a very big nail person and I am rubbish at painting my own, but the other day I was up quite late doing coursework and I needed to take a break. My nails were really chipped and had needed painting for the last week so I did just that. I fancied something different so I searched nail art for beginners on YouTube and I found a nail tutorial that did not need nail tools and instead a makeup sponge which is something I do have.

This is the nail tutorial here. From a channel called elleandish.

I changed it up a little bit as I did not have tape for the heart. I just did the normal style over all my nails. I messed up quite a few times and I had nail polish everywhere but after a cotton bud and nail polish remover clean up I don't think that they turned out too bad. They are a little messy, but practice makes perfect right?

What do you think ?

Daytime Look- Matte Eyes

I do not own or wear a lot of matte eye shadows, so when I do my eyes like this it is a rarity. However, I think that it actually looks quite flattering on the eye as sometimes glitter, shimmer and sparkles can get a bit too much! The colours Iv used here could also be used in a night time look. They are quite dark for the day time and if built up could become very dark and would be ideal for a night time look.

I have used one shimmery colour in this look which is the inner corner and brow bone highlight because I do not have any highlighting colours that I really like other than shimmery ones. Other than that, this eye look is all matte.

Eyes: Mac-Quarry-All over lid and taken underneath. Mac- Charcoal Brown- Through crease and outer corner and also taken underneath. Blended out. Urban Decay- Naked 1 Palette- Virgin- Inner corner/brow bone.
Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24H- 08 Black Gold

Blusher- Nars- Orgasm

Lips- Vaseline

OOTD & MOTD

Occasionally, me and my friends go out for lunch and a pop round the town. Last week I was feeling braver than usual and decided to wear a playsuit that I had bought a while ago and loved, but never wore because I didn't feel that it looked right on me or very nice, but since I have lost a bit of weight lately I tried it and loved it. I wore it with tights because it was a bit cold outside and I also added a black leather jacket when I left the house.
Playsuit: Newlook
Shoes: Primark

For my makeup I used an eye shadow that is very popular from Mac but that I always struggle to pair with clothes.

Eyes: Mac- Sumptuous Olive, Charcoal Brown. Urban decay-Virgin Naked 1 palette.
Maybelline- Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black Gold.
Lips- Mac- Posh Tone

Eyeliner: Tips and Product Choices

I'm When it comes to eyeliner, I have never been able to get it quite right, especially winged liner. Growing up I tried kohl pencil, liquid liner, felt tip liner, but all turned out disastrous and the pictures of me growing up through that stage should be hidden forever!

For the last year or so, I have been using a gel liner. I never thought that I would trust myself to use a brush to apply my liner, but it is actually the easiest method I have tried.

I use Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. They have a few different colours, I usually use 08 Black Gold. This is black with flecks of gold glitter in, but you can hardly see these. I do have the normal Black and a Brown too, but Black Gold is my favourite, especially for winged liner.

When applying Gel liner, I find that it is so much easier to start from the inner corner where you want the liner to start, and then work your way to the outer corner. If you are doing a wing, there is no right way to do it and you should be aware that no matter how hard you try, your winged liner will never be completely identical each side. When doing a wing I start from the base and draw up, then go from the tip downwards to join the liner and then fill in the gap in the middle. Every day they are different, but I like the winged liner look! In fact, usually if I am doing eyeliner it will be winged.

Here are a couple of pictures so you can get a look at what it looks like :)

Makeup of the Night (MOTN)

On the odd occasion a night out with the girls is essential. The last couple of times I have been out I have worn the same makeup look because I like it so much, mainly because of the lip colour which is a surprisingly cheap lipstick and is not one of my more expensive purchases. I thought it would be a good look to write a blog post about, so here it is!

Trax for the eyelid, Sketch and Carbon for the crease and outer V.
All £10 each.
Virgin from the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette.
For the inner corner and brow bone.
